Created in August 2017, The Gayly Nerd is a mental health resource oriented around love, hope, and self-care.
Founder
Aves (they/them) is The Gayly Nerd. In addition to this site, they write and perform poetry and memoir pieces, and their work has been published in multiple books, albums, and literary journals. They also teach English at a high school in Denver and speak and give workshops on consent, self-care, and queer identity. Other hats they’ve worn include complex trauma counselor, fiction proofreader, and Program Director for a humanist nonprofit.
